MADINAH — A child drowned in a swamp caused by rainwater in a valley in the Khaybar governorate of Madinah. In a statement on its Twitter account, the Civil Defense Directorate in Madinah region stated that its teams in Khaybar had attended the case of a child who drowned in a pool of water caused by rainfall in Wadi Al-Ghars. The Civil Defense warned the public against approaching or crossing torrential streams or flood passages during rainfall. It stressed that families should monitor children and do not allow them to approach pools of water during their recreational trips. The Civil Defense emphasized the importance of having a close monitoring of children while raining. It urged the public not to allow children to play around water-gathering areas or sitting nearby or cross flood passages as they are not aware of the danger involved in it.
