Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the General Authority for Foreign Trade Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi is heading Saudi Arabia's delegation to the Ministerial Meeting of the G20 Trade, Investment and Industry Working Group, to be held in Bali, Indonesia from Sept, 21 to 23. The meeting, to kick off Thursday, will see the participation of concerned ministers of G20 member states and invited countries to discuss paramount priorities of the working group towards reforms of the World Trade Organization; the response of commerce, investment and industry to the COVID-19 pandemic and restructuring global health. They will also discuss means to stimulate sustainable investment to support the global economic recovery; ensuring the capability of member states to benefit from digital commerce and global value chains; in addition to addressing opportunities to enable digital transformations through industry to reach a comprehensive and sustainable manufacturing. Al-Qasabi is also planned to hold several bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the event in Bali, where he will meet with his counterparts of G20 and invited countries and several government officials to discuss means of cooperation, partnership and developing commercial and investment cooperation. As part of Al-Qasabi's visit, Jakarta is scheduled to host the Saudi-Indonesian Business Council meeting and a business forum with the participation of Saudi and Indonesian companies with the aim of boosting and developing commercial and investment partnerships to utilize available opportunities and changing them into real partnerships. — SPA
