RIYADH — A two-month-old Saudi baby boy was airlifted to Riyadh from Istanbul. The medical evacuation was carried out under the close follow-up of Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, and that is in coordination with the Ministry of Health. The infant fell ill while he was with his parents and relatives in Turkey, Al-Watan newspaper reported. The Saudi consulate said in a statement that the decision for the medical evacuation of the child was taken as an implementation of the Saudi leadership's directives in rendering the best possible services for the citizens within the Kingdom and abroad.
