The Children's and Maternity Hospital in Al-Ahsa witnessed Tuesday the birth of a baby boy with an extra finger on each hand and an extra toe on each foot. Dr. Huda Al-Oteibi told Al-Watan newspaper that the prematurely-born infant weighed no more than 1,200 grams and was being treated in intensive care. The child, born to a Saudi mother and a father of Gulf nationality, was also suffering from a number of other birth defects in its bone structure and rib cage.
