TUNIS — The embassy of Saudi Arabia in Tunisia stated that it is closely following up on the murder case of a Saudi citizen in the Tunisian city of Bizerte. The citizen was murdered by the brother of his Tunisian wife and his body was repatriated to the Kingdom, the Saudi Press Agency reported quoting the embassy statement. The embassy said that it had received with great sorrow the news of the death of the citizen while he was in the city of Bizerte. "The embassy has followed up on the details of the tragic incident with the concerned authorities ever since its occurrence. It was found that the citizen was killed by the brother of his Tunisian wife, and that the case is under consideration of the Tunisian courts," it said. "The embassy would like to confirm that it is following with great interest the course of the case and that it is fully confident on the delivery of justice by the Tunisian judiciary," the statement said. The embassy also clarified that it has completed all the necessary procedures with the Tunisian authorities, and the body of the deceased was repatriated to the Kingdom.
