Asir police arrest ‘maniac killer' who slit boy's throat
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 21 - 04 - 2013

Saudi Gazette report
ABHA — Police in Khamis Muhshayt arrested an Arab national who stabbed an eight-year-old boy to death, attempted to cut off another child's male organ and viciously stabbed a little girl.
Sources said the alleged murderer admitted to all his crimes. He confessed that he killed the boy and threw his corpse down from a bridge.
Investigations revealed that the man also had stabbed a Pakistani girl, threw her bloody body in a park and sped off. The girl was found still alive and doctors had to use 150 stitches to save her.
The maniac killer also admitted that he once abducted an elementary school pupil, took him to a deserted corner, removed his clothes and tried to cut off his male organ. When the boy started screaming for help, the he ran away.
He told investigators he killed the eight-year-old because he had an argument with the boy's father. He had even threatened the father several times that he would murder his son, taking advantage of the fact that the father and his son were illegal residents without IDs.
The father and son lived on money they got from begging in the streets.
The suspect abducted the boy and called the boy's father to threaten him. The sources were unable to determine what he wanted from the boy's father and what they were arguing about, and why the father could not comply with his demands.
After kidnapping the boy, the man decided to kill him. He slit the boy's throat and took the lifeless corpse and dumped it off a bridge in Beesh Valley. He took advantage of a heavy rainfall at the time to remain unnoticed. When the rain stopped, the boy's corpse was discovered and police were notified.
Sources said the coroner who examined the boy's body knew right away that the crime took place somewhere else and the corpse was dumped there.
While officers were searching for the killer, the boy's father reported to the police that his son was abducted. He also said he and his son came to the Kingdom while the boy's mother was left back home, and they were both trying to make some money.
The father was taken to the crime scene to identify the boy's corpse. When he saw his son, he collapsed and started crying.
He then told the police who he suspected of the ghastly deed and where they could find him.
The suspect was arrested in less than 24 hours.
The suspect was born and raised in Khamis Mushayt and he lived with his family in a small house. He remains in custody pending further investigations.
