MADINAH – Khaled Al-Zayed won the third Red Bull Car Park Drift qualifier and clinched the ticket to the finale in Jeddah on May 9. On another exciting night of car park drift, the biggest drifting event in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East that gives a new meaning to drifting through the concept of safe driving Al-Zayed finished ahead of Ameer Mansour and Muhammad Khouri. All the three have qualified for the Jeddah Grand Finale. More than 8,000 spectators saw the event. The three made it to the top following tough competition with 10 other drifters. The other finalists will be picked from Dammam on April 26, Riyadh on May 2 and Jeddah on May 8, leading to the Grand Finale the next day wherein the top three from each qualifying round will compete for the Saudi title. The two finalists will automatically qualify for Red Bull Car Park Drift Middle East finals to be held in the United Arab Emirates later this year. — SG
