RIYADH — Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation, chaired by Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, donated basic household appliances for patient lodging run by Al-Wafa Philanthropic Association near major hospitals in Riyadh. The lodging care unit in Riyadh receives cancer patients, patients with kidney failures, patients undergoing kidney and liver transplants, and those who have appointments for treatment in hospitals, and can't afford accommodation expenses due to their financial status. Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation and the Lebanese-registered Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation-Global are involved in a wide spectrum of humanitarian and philanthropic activities in more than 75 countries. Their main focus areas have been strategic initiatives, ranging from disaster relief and community development, to women and youth empowerment, as well as promoting intercultural understanding. Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal has been involved in philanthropy for more than three decades, both in the Kingdom and abroad and is committed to supporting humanitarian projects that directly benefit Saudi citizens, as well as citizens around the world. — SG
