Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Ibrahim Alkhorayef visited the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Vienna, Austria. A workshop was held during the visit to discuss ways to strengthen collaboration and benefit from the organization's long expertise in developing the industrial sector in a way that contributes to comprehensive industrial advancement in line with Vision 2030 objectives. Alkhorayef was accompanied by Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Eng. Osama Abdulaziz Al-Zamil and numerous Ministry's officials. Alkhorayef met with the UNIDO Director General Gerd Mueller, and they discussed key collaboration opportunities and issues of common interest. The minister reiterated Saudi Arabia's eagerness and willingness to use experts from within and outside the UNIDO and collaborate with the organization to develop the industry sector locally and forge international industrial partnerships.
