Alf Mabrook! My hearty congratulations to Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company, for topping the list of the World's Richest Arabs announced by Forbes Middle East once again. The prince's philanthropy of $100 million almost every year to charitable causes, education and restoration and preservation of Islamic Culture around the globe does all proud. As an Indian I remembered the prince's visit to India where he visited the Dharavi slum of Mumbai along with other historical places in 2010. His foundation donated $250,000 to Global Fund for Children (GFC) for the street children in India project aimed to improve street children's lives in India. The GFC supports groups that are providing for the needs of children in a variety of ways by giving scholarships to allow poor children to attend formal schools, by providing tutoring and after-school services to youth at risk of leaving formal schooling, or by establishing classroom environments on train platforms, in boats, on beaches, or at garbage dumps in 68 countries throughout Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America, South and Southeast Asia, and the United States. Prince Alwaleed's charity, donations and relief irrespective of caste, creed, religion and region are notable and he has made the Saudi community proud by his service. If the prince has to be remembered in the pages of life I am sure beside Forbes Magazine I would find him on the philanthropic page for someone who has contributed to humanity.
