A model for millionaires During their visit to the Dharvi Slum of Mumbai and other historical places in 2010, Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, businesssman and chairman of the Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation, and Princess Ameerah Al-Taweel donated $250,000 to the Global Fund for Children (GFC), which is a street children project in India. The GFC supports groups which are providing for the needs of children in a variety of ways like giving scholarships to poor children, providing tutoring and after-school services to youth who are at risk of leaving formal schooling and establishing mobile classrooms on environment education in 68 countries in Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America, South and Southeast Asia and the United States. This donation shows the Prince Alwaleed's love for children and his concern for their development so that the future generation will have educated and skilled youth. Prince Alwaleed's charitable activity, irrespective of caste, creed, religion and region, is famous around the world and he has made the entire Saudi community proud of his noble services and affection for people. He has, on a regular basis, been returning to society whatever he earns. Prince Alwaleed will always be remembered for his contribution to humanity. I ask our top 100 millionaires in India, including those in parliament, to set up projects that can spread literacy and eradicate poverty, locally and globally. Mir Gazanfar Ali Zaki, Jeddah __
