The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has raised its full readiness to receive worshipers for the Eid prayer, through an integrated work system. The Presidency has recruited 400 employees to receive the worshipers and direct them to the prayer places, organize entry and exit to and from the Grand Mosque, and determine the paths for people with special needs. The Presidency is also preparing to intensify the operations of purification, sterilization and transportation including electric and non-electric carts for the visitors of the Grand Mosque. It has also opened its gates and distributing the blessed Zamzam water bottles inside the prayer places, Mataf (the circumambulation area around the Kaaba) and to the visitors in general, in addition to other services supervised by the Presidency, as well as strengthening the aspect of awareness and advice in guiding visitors. The Presidency has already prepared, disinfected, sterilized and perfumed the lamps and furnished the courtyard area of the Grand Mosque with new carpets to celebrate Eid. Grand Mufti congratulates leadership on Eid Al-Fitr Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia and President of Council of Senior Scholars and General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta, has congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman; and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense, on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. He asked Allah Almighty to accept from everyone fasting and prayers, and to return this occasion to our country and the whole Islamic nation with goodness and prosperity. He said: "I ask Allah Almighty to bless the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, to protect our country from all harm and to support our stationed soldiers". OIC Secretary General congratulates Muslim World The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Hissein Brahim Taha expressed warm felicitations to the entire Islamic ummah on the occasion of the 1443 Eid Al-Fitr, praying to the almighty Allah to accept their fast and bless the Muslim world. In the same vein, the Secretary General congratulated Their Excellencies and Highnesses Kings, Presidents and Emirs of the OIC Member States. He also congratulated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Crown Prince. The Secretary General asserted that, although the Eid is an occasion that carries lofty meanings and feelings, the existence of numerous crises in the ummah as we celebrate the Eid remains a source distress. He renewed the solidarity of the OIC with the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in the face of wicked Israeli onslaught. He equally expressed solidarity with the Rohingya refugees and other Muslims in various part of the world, including the Lake Chad Basin and Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir and other crises zones across the globe. The Secretary General stressed that signs of decline of the COVID-19 pandemic and relaxation of precautionary measures in many countries of the world make these Eid celebrations rather unique. He prayed to Allah to rid the world permanently of this pandemic and restore health and tranquility to all. At the conclusion of his remarks, the Secretary General expressed the hope that peace, blessings, security, safety and prosperity will prevail in all OIC and non-OIC member states, and that the causes of hatred, violence, extremism and terrorism will be brought to an end. He also hoped that the occasion would be an opportunity for self-reevaluation and the continuation of serious collective action to overcome the challenges facing the entire Islamic ummah. — SPA
