A huge quantity of narcotic pills smuggled into the Kingdom was seized in Jeddah, according to the official spokesman of the General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC). Major Mohammed Al-Nujaidi said proactive security follow-up of the drug smuggling networks, which target to tamper with the security of Saudi Arabia and its youths, resulted in the seizure of 3,320,000 amphetamine pills that were smuggled into the country after hiding them inside a shipment of lemon. Major Al-Nujaidi said a Jordanian and a Syrian on visitor visa were arrested in Jeddah in connection with the smuggling operation.
