Guinea's Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Morissanda Kouyaté announced his country's support to Saudi Arabia's bid to host World Expo 2030. In a statement to the media, following a meeting between Transitional President of Guinea Colonel Mamady Doumbouya and Advisor at the Saudi Royal Court Ahmad bin Abdulaziz Qattan at the Presidential Palace in Conakry on Wednesday, Kouyaté said his country supports Saudi Arabia's bid to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh. He stressed that this decision reflected the strong bilateral decade-long relations between the two countries and highlighted Doumbouya's directives to support Saudi Arabia's bid to host Expo 2030. For his part, Qattan expressed the appreciation and gratitude of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for this support that stems from the historical and close ties between the two countries. Earlier during the meeting, Qattan conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, to the President, and their wishes of steady progress and prosperity for the government and people of Guinea-Conakry. For his part, the President sent his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, and the government and people of Saudi Arabia. During discussions, they reviewed the bilateral relations and ways to enhance them to achieve the aspirations and hopes of the two peoples on further progress and prosperity. The President expressed his country's support for Saudi Arabia's bid to host the World Expo 2030 in Riyadh. For his part Qattan praised the positive stance that reflects the depth of relations between the two countries. Saudi Ambassador to Guinea and Sierra Leone Dr. Hussein bin Nasser Al-Dakhil Allah attended the meeting. — SPA
