QUITO — The Ecuadorian Diplomatic Academy hosted on Saturday Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and member of the Council of Ministers Adel Aljubeir as part of his official visit to Ecuador. Aljubeir delivered a lecture, during which he reviewed the Saudi-Ecuadorean relations, and the importance of advancing and pushing them to broader horizons. Aljubeir presented the general lines of Saudi Arabia's foreign policy, and in relation to the conflicts in the region. He explained the "Vision 2030" outlines to reduce the country's dependence on oil, diversify the economy and improve the areas of infrastructure and services. He also reviewed the positions of Saudi Arabia towards many issues in the regional and international arenas, its efforts to achieve international peace and security, and its pivotal role in stabilizing the global economy. The lecture was attended by Ecuadorean foreign minister Juan Carlos Holguin and the non-resident Saudi Ambassador to Ecuador Ali Bin Abdullah Bahitham.
