Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Affairs Khalid Saleh Al-Mudaifer stressed that Saudi Vision 2030 has realized main goals to become a vital community and prosperous economy, noting that the ministry is working on more than 38 initiatives to realize the goals of the vision and enhance the mining sector to create job opportunities. He made these remarks while participating in the "How to put industry as leaders in sustainability and development partnership" session as part of the International Mining Conference. He noted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has enacted several laws and legislations that were implemented this year to realize sustainable and continuous development in mining areas. Al-Mudaifer also pointed out that mining policies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are based on the best environmental and social governance standards in a way that realizes positive impacts on communities and creates added value to the mining sector for a prosperous economy and successful commercial activities. He referred to the efficiency of the youth in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who hold higher studies certificates in mining and work in several projects, such as the Waad Al-Shamal Development Project. — SPA
