Safe Beach-five, the joint maritime drill jointly implemented by the Royal Saudi Naval Forces and the Royal Jordanian Navy started here Sunday. Commander of the joint forces participating in the drill Maj. Gen. Ali Bin Saeed Al-Shehri said that the five-day event includes several joint military operations with the aim of increasing the level of preparedness and combat capabilities of participating units, enhancing military cooperation between the two brotherly countries and exchanging expertise in combat build-ups. Meanwhile, Drill Commander Col. Khalid Bin Mohammed Al-Bliwi stressed that the drill includes a series of joint military trainings as part of a unified strategy to enhance military cooperation between the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Jordan Armed Forces. He noted that the drill includes applying all theoretical and practical trainings that constitute exchange of expertise and unifying joint military concepts. — SPA
