Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser in Riyadh Wednesday headed the meeting of the first session of the Saudi-Singaporean Joint Committee to enhance economic relations between the two sides and discuss means to develop commercial exchange between the two countries. During the meeting, both sides agreed on the work mechanism of the committee, its organizational structure, and working on several initiatives and issues of joint interest in a bid to enhance cooperation with the Singaporean side and enhance exchanging expertise between the two sides in a way that contribute to realizing joint goals. The two sides also signed several memorandums of understanding and agreements that can play a role in supporting economic and investment sectors between the two sides. The Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services, according to the National Transport and Logistic Services Strategy, seeks to invest the distinguished strategic location of Saudi Arabia and instill its status among other countries as a global logistic hub for the commercial and economic movement of the three old continents of the world. This it seeks to establish through implementing a package of major projects that can empower the economic, vital and development sectors and signing several agreements that can boost Saudi Arabia's economy and its connection to the global economy and international markets. — SPA
