Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, participated in the International Investment Summit 2021 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, which aims to expand the horizons of economic cooperation and to introduce joint investment opportunities in all strategic sectors, transport economics, and the logistics industry. In a speech at the conference's business session, Al-Jasser underlined the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts and its prominent role in supporting investment opportunities, facilitating procedures, and accelerating business in the multi-transport and logistics sector, by boosting partnership with the private sector via adopting advanced and stimulating business models to achieve the objectives of the national strategy for transport and logistics services and consolidating the Kingdom's position as a global logistics center linking the world's three continents. The Minister also met, during his visit, with the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, as the two sides discussed means to enhance cooperation in transport and logistics. Al-Jasser also met with the Bangladeshi Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Shipping, and the CEO of Red Sea Gateway Terminal. The minister also visited Chittagong Port, the largest port in Bangladesh, as these meetings aim to enhance cooperation in transport and logistics and discuss ways to support achieving the objectives of the national strategy for transport and logistics services.
