KHAMIS MUSHAIT — Three young women escaped with injuries in a horrific accident in the Khamis Mushait city in the southern Asir region on Sunday evening. They were taken to Khamis Mushait General Hospital. The terrible scene of the accident went viral on social media, with Twitteratis expressing their satisfaction over their miraculous escape and prayed for the safety and fast recovery of the victims. The accident occurred when the young women were trying to cross the busy Hundred Road opposite the Boulevard in Khamis Mushait. They were surprised by a speeding Ford car that hit them in the middle of the street. Security officials and rescue workers instantly reached the scene and transferred the injured to the hospital. Social media users circulated the horrific video of the accident where the women were seen being tossed after being hit, thus escaping from being run over in the accident. One of them was seen falling an hitting the bonnet of the car while the other two fell in front and the side of the car that had stopped instantly. The condition of the victims was reportedly stable as they sustained only fractures and bruises and are undergoing treatment. The accident was instrumental in intensifying the demand of the local residents to build a pedestrian bridge in the busy area of the road to avoid recurrence of such accidents.
