DAMMAM — Zahraa Al-Kadhem, a Saudi nurse, recounted her experience of attending a road accident case while she was traveling from Safwa city to Saihat city in the Eastern Province. "I don't want to die..." were the mumbled words of a Pakistani national who had sustained serious injuries in a head-on-collision accident when she rushed to give first aid to the injured persons. Speaking to "Akhbar 24," Kadhem said that she happened to come across a collision accident between two cars while she was riding in her car together with her four children on Monday evening. She immediately got out of her car and rushed to the scene to extend first aid service after realizing that any rescue mission had not yet started. She found a Saudi couple in one of the two cars and their health condition was not critical. Then, she went to the other car in which a Pakistani resident was traveling. Kadhem said that Pakistani's condition was very critical, as he was profusely bleeding from his face. On seeing this, she rushed to get the first aid kit from her car, which she had parked near the scene of the accident. Kadhem said that she tried to stop the severe bleeding but she was unable to control it alone. The Pakistani was groaning while she was nursing him and mumbling: "I don't want to die." The nurse explained that the ambulance arrived at the scene after five minutes and all the injured were taken to hospital.
