Published in The Saudi Gazette on 03 - 11 - 2021

The Saudi-led Arab Coalition to support the legitimate Yemeni government said on Tuesday it had intercepted and destroyed two explosive drones launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia on southern Saudi Arabia.
The move follows the Coalition's killing of over 115 Houthi militants in 26 air raids on targets in Marib, located to the east of Sanaa, it said earlier.
Meanwhile, Gulf neighbors United Arab Emirates and Bahrain along witht the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the Houthi terrorist militias attempt to target Jazan with two bomb-laden drones.
The UAE strongly condemned the Houthi terrorist militias' attempts to attack civilians and civil objects in Jazan, Saudi Arabia, with two bomb-laden drones, which was intercepted and destroyed by the Coalition forces.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) on Tuesday, affirmed in a statement that the continuation of systematic terror attacks by the Houthis reflect their blatant disregard for the international community and all international laws and norms.
The ministry urged the international community to take an immediate and decisive stance to stop these recurrent acts, which target Saudi critical infrastructure and threaten the stability of the international economy, as well as global energy supplies.
In Manama, the kingdom of Bahrain condemned the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia launching of two bomb-laden drones towards Jazan. The Bahraini Foreign Ministry said that this cowardly terrorist act constitutes a blatant attack and a serious threat to the security and safety of civilians and civilian facilities.
The Ministry commended the vigilance of the Saudi Air Defense Forces, which were able to intercept and destroy the two drones, and stressed that Bahrain unequivocally supports Saudi Arabia against all that targets its security and stability.
Also, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary-General Dr. Yousef Bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, expressed in a statement his strong condemnation and denunciation of the targeting of innocent civilians by the Houthi terrorist militia in Jazan with two bomb-laden drones, as the Saudi air defenses were able to intercept and destroy them before reaching their target.
Dr. Al-Othaimeen reiterated the OIC's support for all measures taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to preserve its security and stability and the safety of citizens and expatriate on its lands. — SPA
