The Arab Coalition forces intercepted and destroyed an explosive-laden drone that was launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia towards Khamis Mushait on Monday, the Arab Coalition confirmed. "The Houthi militia continue in their attempts to target civilians. We are taking operational measures to protect civilians and infrastructure from hostile attempts," the Arab Coalition said in a statement. The latest attack comes over 24 hours after another drone launched by the Houthis targeting the same city was intercepted and destroyed. Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militias' systematic attempts to target civilians and civilian objects in Khamis Mushait City, with a bomb-laden UAV, which was successfully intercepted and destroyed by the Coalition Forces. In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) stressed that the continuation of these terror attacks by the Houthis reflect their blatant disregard for the international community and all international laws and norms. The ministry urged the international community to take an immediate and decisive stand to stop these repeated attacks that target vital and civilian installations, the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and global energy supplies. It affirmed that the continuation of these attacks is a grave escalation that represents new evidence of these militias' attempts to undermine security and stability in the region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed the UAE's full solidarity and standing with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia against whatever threatens its security and stability, in addition to supporting all Saudi Arabia's taken measures to maintain its security, stability and the safety of its citizens and residents. The statement concluded by stressing that the security of the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is inseparable, and that any threat or danger to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is considered a threat to the security and stability of the UAE. In Jeddah, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Dr. Yousef Bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen condemned terrorist Houthi militia's launch of a bomb-laden UAV towards civilians and civilian objects in Khamis Mushait City. Dr. Al-Othaimeen commended the capabilities of the Saudi Air Defense that intercepted and destroyed the UAV before reaching its target. The secretary general reaffirmed OIC's stand and solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to confront the Houthi militia's acts and preserve its security, stability and the safety of its citizens and residents. — SPA
