Republic of Senegal President Macky Sall received at the presidential palace here Tuesday the Minister of State for African Countries Affairs Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan and the accompanying delegation, currently on an official visit to Senegal. During the meeting, Qattan conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense, to the Senegalese president and in turn the president conveyed his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, as well as his best wishes for them and the people of the Kingdom further progress and prosperity. Also, President Sall expressed his aspiration to develop relationships between the two countries, and move them to broader horizons to achieve the interests of the two countries, while the minister Qattan affirmed the Kingdom's full readiness to do everything that would enhance bilateral relations in all fields. During the meeting, they reviewed the relations of cooperation between the two countries, and ways to enhance and develop them in various fields, in addition to discussing the latest regional and international issues of common interest. After that, the Minister of State for African Affairs expressed in a statement, his happiness to visit the Republic of Senegal and the distinguished and fraternal relations binding the two countries. He cited the Saudi-Senegalese governments' satisfaction with the level these relations have reached and their endeavor to develop in all fields, stressing the keenness of the two governments to confront common challenges through joint coordination to achieve security, stability and development in the region. Earlier, Qattan held official talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad Aïssata Tall Sall. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to strengthen and develop them in various fields to serve common interests. Also, they discussed the latest developments relating to regional and international events, and issues of common interest. The talks dealt with the efforts of the two countries in combating the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). Sall expressed her deep appreciation of and thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its standing by the Republic of Senegal in providing medical aid to confront COVID-19. — SPA
