The Kingdom's fashion sector has achieve remarkable progress thanks to Saudi Vision 2030, said Princess Noura bint Faisal, Director of Fashion Development at the Fashion Commission. The princess made the remarks while participating in a session entitled "A Sustainable Future for Fashion" held on the third day of the Fifth Future Investment Initiative (FII) in Riyadh on Thursday. Princess Noura explained that the next edition of "Fashion Futures" to be held in December, will witness the participation of international specialists who will talk about how the fashion sector can set the basic frameworks to ensure greater sustainability in the future. She also said that Fashion Futures will hold workshops on innovation, entrepreneurship, and cultural diversity. Princess Noura added that the Fashion Commission in Saudi Arabia has a team working on a strategy related to supporting the sector, by laying the foundations through legislation and legal frameworks, highlighting the cultural diversity in the sector that receives government attention and support. This will contribute to helping the Commission to find the appropriate environment to empower the industry to reach out to the world, she said. The princess pointed out that the Commission is working on projects and investments to empower people of all ages and different segments to unleash their talents to the world. She said Fashion Futures, which began in 2019, was a bright sign in the sector, with the participation and presence of specialists and international brands. — SPA
