RIYADH — The Ministry of Health has revealed that the total number of doses of coronavirus vaccine administered so far to Saudis and expatriates in the age group of 12-18 years crossed one million doses in all regions of the Kingdom. The ministry urged all to register the names of youngsters in this age group through the Sehhaty application to receive the vaccine. Meanwhile, the ministry has accelerated the pace of its national vaccination campaign, which started on Dec. 15, 2020. Around half a million doses of vaccine are being administered through 587 vaccination centers across the Kingdom on a daily basis. The vaccination centers were open during the Eid Al-Adha holidays in order to vaccinate the maximum number of citizens and expatriates. Saudi Arabia is expected to reach the level of herd immunity after administering two doses of vaccines to 70 percent of its population by the end of September.
