MUMBAI — Bengali beauty Rani Mukherjee is all set to essay a bold role in her upcoming film “Mardaani” helmed by Pradeep Sarakr under the Yash Raj Films. Mukherjee, who has done a variety of roles, will now be seen as a cop in the film. A source said: “Rani has played versatile roles from being a grieving mother in her last film Talaash with Aamir Khan, to portraying a headstrong journalist but this time, she will be seen in an all-new bold role.” Mukherjee's rumored beau Aditya Chopra and his team handpicked the actress, as the script requires a strong heroine, ndtv.com reported. “Aditya and his team were scouting around and thought Rani seemed to be an obvious choice, for more than one reason.
