‘I share great on-screen chemistry with Ranbir': Deepika
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 14 - 08 - 2008

BOLLYWOOD actress Deepika Padukone has worked with Ranbir Kapoor for the first time in ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno', but the actress says she is very comfortable working with him and shares great on-screen chemistry with the actor.
“We both are actors and remain in our characters on the screen. But, at the same time, we understand each other well,” says the actress, who is eagerly waiting for August 15, when ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno' releases.
“Its a youthful movie. I am playing the character of Gayatri, who does what she wants. Its a movie that people will relate to. Everyone goes through such a phase in life,” says the diva.
Produced by Yash Raj films, the movie also stars Bengali beauty Bipasha Basu and actress Minissha Lamba.
Yash Raj banner has not had a good year after their big films like ‘Tashan' and ‘Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic' did not do well at the box office.
But Deepika says she did not feel any pressure while signing the film and defends her decision to work with Yash Raj banner.
“I think its unfair to generalise. Yash Raj banner has given biggest number of hits in past. Couple of failures don't put any pressure on us,” she says.
She played double role opposite Shahrukh Khan in ‘Om Shanti Om' and incidentally, will be playing a double role again opposite Akshay Kumar in her next movie ‘Chandni Chowk to China'.
