RIYADH — School principals can now have access to coronavirus health status records of students and staffers, the Tawakkalna application management has revealed. The access has been granted to enable school administrators to view the statistical figures and conditions of school employees, including teachers, and students with regard to the infection, recovery, as well as vaccine administration, according to the app management. This move comes after the Ministry of Education announced that it had agreed with the Ministry of Health to start implementing an additional joint program to provide coronavirus vaccine to five million male and female students aged 12 years and above. It is noteworthy that the Tawakkalna application recently announced the launch of a new update that includes new features to the health passport. This was in association with Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). The health passport update has a provision to add the information about the COVID-19 travel insurance policy, approved by the Saudi Central Bank and the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance, to facilitate travel procedures. The health passport includes information about immunization status, the date and result of the latest polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, and the insurance policy and its validity. Within an effort aimed to improve the experience of Tawakkalna users, the application provided the travel passport, which facilitates travel procedures for all members of the family through providing all travel-related information in the health passport service. SDAIA called on the users of the Tawakkalna application to take the initiative to update the application from the AppGallery, App Store and Google Store in order to take advantage of most of the services that were recently added, based on its keenness to make these services available to all beneficiaries and that is in different languages.
