The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in cooperation with The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), has announced the launch of a new service that allows applicants to issue permits to perform Umrah, visit and prayer at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque through the "Tawakkalna" application. The new service will be available to applicants in parallel with the permit issuance service being offered to immunized individuals via the updated version of the "Eatmarna" application. The Ministry explained that starting April 13, 2021, permits to perform Umrah and prayers in the Grand Mosque and to visit the Prophet's Mosque will be granted to immunized persons and as per the data on Tawakkalna displaying the immunization categories. The categories are: (Immune Person who received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine / Immune Person after 14 days of receiving the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine / Immune Person who has recovered from the infection). This cooperation between the Ministry and SDAIA comes in implementation of the directives of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, chairman of the Board of Directors of SDAIA, with the aim of enhancing digital transformation efforts to achieve the goals of Vision 2030. It also aims to enhance the integration between government agencies, and harness advanced technologies to host visitors and Umrah performers, and facilitate their access into the Two Holy Mosques while adhering to precautionary and preventive measures. Under this joint cooperation, Tawakkalna app allows the issuance of permits to perform Umrah, prayer in the Grand Mosque, prayer in Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah, and visit the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his two companions. The Ministry called on users of Tawakkalna application to update the application through Google Play, App Store and AppGallery, in order to benefit from the services of the application and ensure that it works efficiently and effectively. — SPA
