Saudi Ambassador to the United States Princess Reema Bint Bandar Bin Sultan affirmed that the Saudi Vision 2030 contributed to create more opportunities for women in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, encouraging women throughout the Kingdom to take advantage of programs designed to enhance their skills in various economic sectors.
Princess Reema made this statement during her speech in the "Igniting Women's Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Saudi Arabia" workshop, hosted by the Atlantic Council's empowerME Initiative in partnership with the US Mission to Saudi Arabia and the American Chamber of Commerce in Saudi Arabia's Women in Business Committee. US Chargé d'Affaires to Saudi Arabia Martina Strong too participated.
Princess Reema and Strong praised the economic and social reforms in the Kingdom, which contributed to enhancing business opportunities for women-owned enterprises.
The Princess added that the reforms, led by Crown Prince and his keenness to support and empower citizens, including youth and women, have contributed in implementing historical steps in various fields, especially in enhancing the opportunities of the male and female entrepreneurs.
Princess Reema discussed her deep passion for creating and building new ventures. "The limitations today are only your dreams, and Vision 2030 has unlocked so many opportunities for women to dream," she said, and encouraged women throughout the Kingdom to take advantage of programs designed to enhance their business skills.
The US Chargé d'Affaires highlighted that in today's digital economy, new sectors and opportunities are being generated and expanded every single day. "We want to see many more women take their rightful place of leadership in the economy and across Saudi society," she added.
The "Igniting Women's Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Saudi Arabia" workshop was the first of five workshops planned for this year aimed at connecting US and Saudi business leaders and entrepreneurs to expand opportunities and build relationships. — SPA
