RIYADH — Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, who is also an adviser at the royal court, met here on Thursday with a delegation of the Center for Humanitarian Dialogue, which is also known as the Henry Dunant Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD). The delegation was headed by the center's Executive Director David Harland. HD is one of the world's most influential conflict mediation organizations based in Geneva and veteran British diplomat Martin Griffiths, who is currently serving as the UN special envoy for Yemen and is tipped to be the new UN humanitarian chief was its founding director. During the meeting with the HD delegation, Al-Rabeeah gave an account of the humanitarian and relief efforts carried out by Saudi Arabia at the regional and international levels through its charity arm KSrelief. KSrelief chief said that the center has carried out as many as 1,558 projects in 59 countries, out of which 591 projects were conducted in Yemen worth over $3.5 billion The visiting delegation praised the distinguished professional performance of KSrelief and the work it was doing in serving the needy and affected and supporting humanitarian work around the world. Earlier in the day, Al-Rabeeah met with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Saudi Arabia Shahin Abdullayev. During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of common interest related to the humanitarian and relief fields. The ambassador praised KSrelief's unprecedented efforts in supporting the affected countries and peoples around the world.
