MANAMA — A consignment of medical supplies consisting of 760 Oxygen cylinders and 10 Oxygen concentrators, provided by the local Indian and Bahraini organizations, was shipped to India on Thursday through INS TARKASH, the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported. INS TARKASH arrived in Bahrain as part of Operation Samudra Setu-II to undertake shipment of medical supplies in support of India's fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. In a statement carried by the BNA, the Indian embassy in Bahrain thanked the Indian and Bahraini organizations and the Indian community in Bahrain for coming forward to join the collective fight against the pandemic and gifting the above medical supplies to India. "We would like to particularly mention the following organizations, which have contributed to this effort. These include BahrainIndia Society, Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam, Rotary Club of Manama, Bahrain Chapter of ICAI, Bahrain Odia Samaj, Indian Ladies Association, Friends Social Association, Thattai Hindu Mercantile Community, World NRI Council, Telugu Kala Samithi, Institute of Engineers – Bahrain Chapter, Thattai Hindu Community, Rajasthanis in Bahrain, Bahrain Entrepreneurship Organization, Samskruthi Bahrain, BahrainIndia Culture & Arts Society, and Palakkad Arts & Cultural Theatre," the statement read. "We would also like to thank the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain for facilitating the shipment of the medical items to India," the statement added.
