The Human Rights Commission (HRC) President Dr. Awwad Bin Saleh Al-Awwad met with Ambassador of the European Union to the Kingdom and the French Ambassador to the Kingdom on Monday. Dr. Al-Awwad discussed with European Union Ambassador Patrick Simonnet ways to enhance cooperation in the field of human rights between Saudi Arabia and the European Union. During the meeting, Dr. Al-Awwad stressed the depth of the joint relations and the importance of continuing cooperation to enhance these relations in all fields. He said that Saudi Arabia, in light of its Vision 2030, has implemented many successive reforms in various fields of human rights, with the support and patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Crown Prince, noting the importance of such visits between the two sides to exchange views on many files and issues in a way that strengthens the partnership and prospects for cooperation. Dr. Al-Awwad also received at his office in Riyadh Monday French envoy Ludovic Pouille. During the meeting, the two sides discussed aspects of cooperation in the fields of human rights. The HRC president commended deep-rooted relations between the two countries. He also reviewed the Kingdom's efforts in supporting the human rights field, highlighting Saudi Arabia's implemented reforms under the leadership and support of King Salman and Crown Prince. — SPA
