RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman issued an order on Thursday, advancing second-semester exams of the current academic year at all levels of school and university education as well as that of technical and vocational institutions. All exams for boys and girls will conclude and the annual vacation will start before the Eid Al-Fitr holidays, the Saudi Press Agency reported. According to the royal decree, the second-semester exams for the elementary schools will start on April 13 (Tuesday) and the vacation for students of elementary schools and kindergartens will start on April 23. The exams for the intermediate and secondary phases of schools will begin on April 18 (Sunday) and their vacation will commence on April 30. The King ordered that exams for the students of government and private university institutions as well as for the students of Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) will be scheduled in a way concluding all the exams before the start of the Eid Al-Fitr holidays. The royal decree comes out of the King's keenness on the educational performance and achievements of boy and girl students in all phases of education and that is based on the recommendation of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, the SPA reported.
