Iraqi military attaché to Saudi Arabia Brig. Gen. Dawood Abdulkarim Mahdi and an accompanying delegation have visited the headquarters of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) in Riyadh. The military attaché, during the visit, was briefed on the coalition's efforts in combating terrorism at ideological, media, curbing of terrorism financing, and military levels, as well as the coalition's role in coordinating and intensifying the efforts of member states. The meeting also discussed means to enhance cooperation between IMCTC and Iraq. IMCTC secretary-general noted that the coalition represents an important military system that seeks to enhance military cooperation between member states, in addition to its being based on the values of legitimacy, independence, coordination, and participation, as well as seeking to guarantee the conformity of all the acts and efforts of coalition countries in counterterrorism with international laws, regulations, and norms. Brig. Gen. Mahdi praised the great role of the coalition in serving the interests of member states in various fields related to counterterrorism, and its achievements in fighting terrorism, violent extremist ideology, and other fields. — SG
