KSrelief continues project to empower orphans in several Yemeni governorates

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) continued to implement a project to empower orphans and strengthen their steadfastness in Aden, Marib and Al-Mahrah Governorates, Yemen.
During February 2021, 3,000 services were provided, benefiting 1,000 individuals in Aden, Marib and Al-Mahrah Governorates, Yemen.
This comes within the framework of the humanitarian projects being provided by the KSrelief to protect the Yemeni orphans and improve their living conditions.
KSrelief implements
water supply in Hajjah
In Hajjah, KSrelief continued to implement the water supply and environmental sanitation project in Hajjah Governorate, Yemen.
During February 2021, 1,390,000 liters of drinking water and 2,922,000 liters of non-drinking water were pumped, the waste was removed from refugees camps and two fog spraying campaigns were carried out to combat epidemics, benefiting 18,000 individuals.
Prosthetics Center Project
in Taiz provides services
In Taiz, backed by KSrelief, the Prosthetics Center Project in Taiz Governorate, Yemen, provided several medical services to the Yemeni people, who had lost limbs.
During February 2021, 2,216 medical services had been provided to 1,192 beneficiaries in the field of prosthetic limbs.
The beneficiaries expressed utmost thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, for the aid, which made big differences in their lives.
In Al-Makha, the Prosthetics Center Project continued providing the Yemeni people who lost limbs, with several medical services.
The beneficiaries of the Center's services, expressed utmost thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSreilief, for the big and tangible difference it caused in their lives, by providing them with prosthetics and following up their cases.
Dialysis Center in Al-Ghaydah
Provides medical services
In Al-Mahra, the dialysis center in Al-Ghaydah district in Al-Mahrah governorate, Yemen, continued providing medical services to beneficiaries, backed by KSrelief.
During the period from March 1 to 4, 2021, the center received 38 patients, 36 of whom received 51 dialysis sessions.
This comes as an extension of the projects, provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, due to the current humanitarian crisis.
Al-Jaada Health Center
provides key services
In Hajjah, backed by KSrelief, Al-Jaada Health Center in Hajjah Governorate, Yemen, has provided treatment services to 16,667 beneficiaries in different clinics and departments during February 2021.
The laboratory department also received 2,281 people and the health center provided 4,738 individuals with medications.

developments of project
In Aden, the KSrelief team in Aden governorate, Yemen, was briefed on the developments of the project to improve the access of displaced persons in Yemen to educational services, implemented by the International Organization for Migration, backed by the KSrelief, targeting returnees, host communities and displaced persons in the governorates of Aden, Hadramout and Lahj.
The project aims to support the provision of education services and facilities in the areas identified by the local authorities as the most needy areas.
This comes within the framework of the humanitarian and relief projects, presented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, for the Yemeni people.
KSrelief works to assist
affected women, children
In Hargeisa, the KSrelief continued implementing a project to strengthen the integrated protection of women and children affected by displacement in Jubaland and Somaliland.
It's noteworthy that the project targeted the sectors of protection, education, early recovery, and livelihood improvement, in cooperation with International Women's Day, benefiting 20,204 individuals, with a total value of $1 million.
The project aims to support displaced, by supporting education for women and children, and building affected women capacity as well as raising the awareness of the local community about the protection of women and strengthening their position in the community. — SPA
