GCC leads chorus of condemnation of terror attacks targeting Ras Tanura port

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf condemned the attacks that targeted one of the petroleum tank farms at the Ras Tanura Port in the Eastern Region and Saudi Aramco facilities in Dhahran.
Dr. Al-Hajraf stressed that the two attacks do not target Saudi Arabia's security and economic capabilities only, but rather target the backbone of the global economy, oil supplies, as well as global energy security.
He reiterated the GCC's stand with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, affirming the GCC's support and solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to protect its national capabilities and gains in a way that maintains global energy security and prevent such terrorist attacks to ensure the stability of energy supplies, security of petroleum exports, freedom of world trade and maritime traffic.
Other countries too condemned the attacks while expressing their solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In Cairo, Egypt expressed in the strongest terms its condemnation and denunciation of the targeting of petroleum tanks at Ras Tanura Port and Saudi Aramco facilities with a bomb-laden drone and a ballistic missile coming from the sea, which were successfully intercepted and destroyed.
In a statement issued yesterday, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed its full support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the measures it takes and adopts to address these cowardly, destructive and aggressive acts.
The President of the Arab Parliament Adel Bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoumi too condemned the cowardly sabotage attacks that attempted to target one of the petroleum tanks at Ras Tanura Port in the Eastern Region, and targeting Saudi Aramco facilities in Dhahran.
In a statement issued, Al-Asoumi stressed that these despicable attacks do not target the Kingdom's security and economic capabilities only, but rather target global energy security and its main supplies, and represent a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms.
He stressed that it's time for the international community to take a deterrent stance to put a definitive end to these attacks that target security and stability in the region and threatening the global economy.
Al-Asoumi praised the efficiency of the Kingdom's defense forces and its permanent readiness to confront these cowardly terrorist attacks.
He reiterated the position of the Arab Parliament in support of all measures taken by the Kingdom to defend its territory, preserve its security and the safety of its citizens and residents, protect its national capabilities and gains, and maintain the security and stability of energy supplies.
In Abu Dhabi, The United Arab Emirates (UAE) strongly condemned and denounced sabotage attacks that attempted to target one of the petroleum tank farms at Ras Tanura Port in the Eastern Region and Saudi Aramco facilities in Dhahran.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation confirmed in a statement Monday that this cowardly attack targets energy supplies and security, urging the international community to take an immediate and decisive stand to stop these repeated actions targeting vital and civilian installations and the security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The ministry renewed the UAE's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regarding these terrorist attacks, standing in one line with Saudi Arabia against every threat to its security and stability, and supporting it in all measures it takes to preserve its security and the safety of its citizens and residents.
"The security of the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are indivisible, and that any threat or danger facing Saudi Arabia is considered a threat to the UAE's security and stability," the statement concluded.
In Kuwait, Kuwait strongly condemned and denounced the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia's continued targeting of civilians and civilians objects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by lunching a number of bomb-laden UAVs.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out the continuation of these terrorist crimes is a dangerous escalation, harming the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, undermining the stability of the region and a challenge to international and humanitarian law.
The statement added that insistence on continuing the war and ignoring international efforts to put an end to it by reaching a political solution, the silence of the international community and the failure to act immediately and decisively to deter these heinous crimes and put an end to them is no longer acceptable.
The Ministry affirmed Kuwait's solidarity with the Kingdom and support all measures it takes to preserve its security, stability and sovereignty.
In Doha, Qatar too strongly condemned and denounced the attempt to target Ras Tanura Port and Saudi Aramco's facilities in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
In a statement issued, the Qatari Foreign Affairs Ministry said that targeting vital installations and facilities is a subversive act that violates all international norms and laws and that would threaten the security and stability of world's energy supply.
The Ministry reiterated Qatar's firm stand stance on rejecting violence, criminal and sabotage acts, regardless of the motives and reasons.
In Manama, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemned and denounced the targeting of petroleum tanks at Ras Tanura Port and the facilities of Saudi Aramco, with a ballistic missile and a bomb-laden drone coming from the sea.
In a statement issued, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out that this is a cowardly terrorist attack that constitutes a flagrant violation of international laws, and a serious threat to energy supplies, shipping navigation and the global economy.
The ministry affirmed Bahrain's support and solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and all the measures it takes and adopts to address these cowardly, destructive and aggressive acts, calling on the international community to condemn such terrorist actions that threaten regional and international security and stability.
In Jeddah, the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef Bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen strongly condemned, in a statement issued on Sunday, the cowardly terrorist attack and the attempt to target the Ras Tanura Port and the other deliberate attempt using a ballistic missile on the Saudi Aramco's residential area in Dhahran.
Al-Othaimeen stressed that these terrorist, sabotage and criminal acts against vital installations not only target the Kingdom, but also target the security and stability of energy supplies in the world, as they pose a threat to the lives of thousands of Saudi Aramco employees and their families of various nationalities.
He called on the international community to stand with the Kingdom in taking practical deterrent measures against all terrorist entities that carry out and support these subversive acts.
In Makkah, the Muslim World League (MWL) condemned the terrorist attacks that targeted one of the petroleum tank farms at the Ras Tanura Port in the Eastern Region and Saudi Aramco facilities in Dhahran.
In a statement issued, MWL's Secretary General and Chairman of the World Organization of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa said that MWL condemns these terrorist attacks, which target the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and global energy supplies and security.
On behalf of the scholars of the Islamic world, MWL expressed its solidarity and stand by the Kingdom in addressing these terrorist attacks and its support for all measures it takes to protect its national capabilities, global energy supplies and security.
MWL reaffirmed that these criminal acts reflect the misery and despair that sectarian terrorism practices in light of its successive defeats.
Meanwhile, President Ismaïl Omar Guelleh of the Republic of Djibouti too condemned the terrorist attacks that targeted the Ras Tanura Port and the residential area in Dhahran, as well as civilian objects in the cities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He called on the international community to put an end to these terrorist attacks that threaten international security and stability, affirming his country's full solidarity with the Kingdom.
In Ramallah, the Palestinian Presidency condemned the continuation and dangerous escalations by Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia targeting civilians and civilians objects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In a statement issued Sunday, the Presidency said that the Houthi militia attacks on the Kingdom are a flagrant violation of international laws.
It affirmed Palestine's solidarity with the Kingdom to address these attacks, and its full support for all measures the Kingdom takes to defend its territory, security and stability and protect its people. — SPA
