RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health on Friday recorded 337 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 374,366. The ministry announced 4 more deaths over the past 24 hours from complications caused by COVID-19, taking the total number of virus-related fatalities to 6,454. The ministry also reported 346 recoveries over the past 24 hours, surpassing the new cases for the fifth day in a row. With the new recoveries, the total number of people free from the deadly virus reached 365,363. The Riyadh region continued to record the highest number of infections with 163 cases, followed by the Eastern region with 70 and the Makkah region with 48 new infections. The remaining cases were detected in different other regions of the Kingdom with nine of them reporting less than 10 infections. With the slight drop in the number of new cases, the active cases in Saudi Arabia fell to 2,549 out of which 497 were critical.
