Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah met here Sunday with French Ambassador Ludovic Pouille. The meeting discussed aspects of cooperation between KSrelief and France to provide humanitarian and relief aid to needy countries, especially in Africa, in addition to ways to combat the novel coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) in affected countries. The two sides also discussed Saudi Arabia's roles in G20 meetings and its support for international organizations, countries with fragile health systems, and French health humanitarian initiatives. The Ambassador praised KSrelief's excellence and services to needy people around the world, adding that the Center is a milestone in the field of humanitarian work. Voluntary Medical Campaign for Surgery in Mukalla In Mukalla, KSrelief has concluded the 5th Voluntary Medical Campaign for Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization and Surgery in Mukalla, Hadhramaut Governorate, Yemen. During 6 days since the launch of the campaign, the medical team performed 33 surgeries, including 17 open-heart surgeries and 16 cardiac catheters, benefiting children from the most needy families in Hadhramaut Governorate. This comes within the framework of the support being provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the KSrelief, for the medical sector in Yemen. Medical campaign to combat blindness in Mukalla In Mukalla, the KSrelief concluded Saturday its voluntary medical campaign to combat blindness and diseases that cause it, in Mukalla, Hadhramaut Governorate, Yemen. During 7 days of the campaign, the campaign medical team examined 1,764 patients and performed 350 cataract surgeries, in addition to distributing 350 eyeglasses and eye drops, benefiting low-income families and individuals. This campaign, provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the KSrelief, aims to treat people with eye diseases and provide them with the necessary medical care in a number of needy countries. 1,300 food baskets for displaced in Marib In Marib, KSrelief has distributed 1,300 of food baskets to the displaced, at Al-Rayyan, in Marib Governorate, Yemen, benefiting 7,800 individuals. This comes within the framework of humanitarian and relief projects being provided by Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief's Center, for Yemen. Treatment services in Hodeidah Governorate continues In Hodeidah, KSrelief continued providing treatment services, in Hodeidah Governorate, Yemen, last week. During the period from Jan. 1 to 6, 2021, the clinics received 3,656 beneficiaries, with various medical conditions, in different clinics and departments. The laboratory department also received 2,734 patients and the clinics provided 3,302 patients with medications. KSrelief distributes winter clothes to refugees in Jordan In Amman, KSrelief has continued distributing winter clothes to refugees and needy families in Jordan. KSrelief distributed Saturday 5,427 winter bags and 10,854 blankets, benefiting 27,135 individuals in a number of Jordan's governorates. This distribution comes within the framework of humanitarian efforts being exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to support Palestinian and Syrian refugees and needy families in Jordan. — SPA
