RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health recorded on Wednesday 180 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 360,335. According to the Ministry of Health, 11 more patients died due to complications caused by the virus over the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 6,080. The ministry also reported 199 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 351,192, with the recovery rate climbing to 97.46 percent. The Riyadh region recorded the highest number of infections with 53, followed by the Makkah region with 32 and the Madinah region with 3o cases. The remaining cases were detected in different other regions of the Kingdom. With the steady fall in new infections, the active cases in the Kingdom also dropped to 3,063 out of which 463 were critical cases.
