The Arab Coalition on Sunday intercepted and destroyed an explosive-laden drone launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia targeting Saudi Arabia, Saudi Press Agency reported quoting statements from the Coalition's spokesman Col. Turki Al-Maliki. "Joint Coalition Forces have intercepted and destroyed this morning (Sunday) a bomb-laden UAV launched systematically and deliberately by the terrorist Houthi militia to target civilians and civilian objects in the Southern Region," Al-Maliki said in a statement. This destruction of the drone early Sunday came after the Coalition on Saturday evening had intercepted and destroyed an explosive-laden drone launched by the Houthi militia targeting Saudi Arabia. Saturday's interception of the Houthi launched drone was the third in two days as the Coalition forces had on Friday intercepted and destroyed two explosive-laden drones launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia. The failed attacks are the latest in the series of armed drones launched by the Houthis in recent weeks. — SPA
