The Arab Coalition on Saturday evening intercepted and destroyed an explosive-laden drone launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia targeting Saudi Arabia, Saudi Press Agency reported quoting statements from the Coalition's spokesman Col. Turki Al-Maliki. "Joint Coalition Forces have intercepted and destroyed this evening (Saturday) a bomb-laden UAV launched systematically and deliberately by the terrorist Houthi militia to target civilians and civilian objects in the Southern Region," Al-Maliki said in a statement. The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yusuf bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen denounced on Saturday the launching of a bomb-laden UAV by the terrorist, Iran-backed Houthi militia, targeting the south of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In a statement, he reiterated OIC stance and solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to maintain its security and stability, reasserting OIC condemnation of terrorist acts committed by the Houthi militia and those backing it from behind, through providing it with funds and weapons, in a systematic and premeditated manner, to target civilians as well as civic targets. Saturday's interception of the Houthi launched drone was the third in two days as the Coalition forces had on Friday intercepted and destroyed two explosive-laden drones launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia. The failed attacks are the latest in the series of armed drones launched by the Houthis in recent weeks. — SPA
