RIYADH — Saudi Arabia on Sunday registered 348 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 342,202, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health. According to the ministry, 20 more died over the past 24 hours from complications caused by COVID-19, taking the total number of virus-related fatalities to 5,185. The ministry also reported 373 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 328,538 with the recovery rate climbing. Of the new cases, Madinah recorded the highest number of cases with 73 infections followed by Yanbu with 32, Riyadh with 25, Buraidah with 19 and Makkah with 17 cases. The remaining cases were detected in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom. There are currently 8,479 active cases, out of which 825 are critical.
