KUWAIT CITY — Kuwait's Cabinet on Monday strongly condemned Iran-backed Houthi militia for targeting Saudi Arabia with an armed drone on Saturday, affirming the country's full support for all the measures taken by the Kingdom to preserve its security, stability, and territorial integrity. In a weekly meeting held under the chairmanship of Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Cabinet also discussed recent political developments at the regional as well as global levels, Kuwait News Agency reported. After the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Anas Al-Saleh said that at the outset of the meeting the Cabinet congratulated Crown Prince Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on taking the oath of office and gaining the parliament's pledge of allegiance. Later, Minister of Health, Sheikh Dr. Basel Al- Sabah, updated the Cabinet on the latest health developments in the country in light of statistics and data related to the numbers of coronavirus cases of infection, recovery, deaths, and those receiving treatment. The Cabinet asked the Ministry of Information to intensify and develop media messages on health requirements to spread awareness and reinforce discipline for observing health regulations. The Cabinet called for introducing appointments for dining in restaurants and cafes and visiting sports clubs in order to avoid crowding. It also decided not to allow camps and temporary tents in residential areas and chalets. The Cabinet assigned the main committee to follow up on the implementation of health requirements related to combating the coronavirus, and to develop its working methods and intensify its efforts in line with the increasing cases and the high infection indicators.
