Kingdom's airports mark 90th National Day with festivities

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), represented by the Kingdom's airports, celebrated the 90th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a series of events at the terminals.
The festivities were put forth, in order to participate and express feelings of patriotism and belonging to commemorate this occasion — an occasion that is dear to the hearts of all citizens and embodies the depth of loyalty and belonging to this blessed country.
Numerous national events were held in various terminals of the Kingdom's airports to celebrate this occasion. Passengers, arriving and departing, were welcomed and the Kingdom's airports provided souvenirs for this occasion and distributed Saudi national flags. The Saudi national anthem was played throughout the terminals at Saudi airports.
King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh led the celebrations of the 90th Saudi National Day by holding many events for travelers in all domestic terminals. Meanwhile, the colors of the country's logo were displayed in all airport facilities, extending from the entrances to the roads leading to it.
Travelers were welcomed with flags, roses and national songs were played in celebration for the occasion. The activities included the participation of children in Terminal 5. The children sang the national anthem, and the terminal was adorned with the Kingdom's flag and colors.
Riyadh Airport welcomed the capital's passengers with the Saudi traditional folkloric dance (Al-Ardha). The Al Ardha dance was displayed through interactive screens, while the gates and other areas of the airport were decorated with the colors of the flag of our beloved Kingdom.
Meanwhile, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah too held many activities in Terminal (1). The airport building was painted in the colors of the nation's logo in all of its facilities and extended to the entrances and on to the roads leading to it. Travelers were welcomed with flags, roses and the national songs were played to celebrate this occasion.
The activities included the display of paintings bearing pictures of the successive Kings of Saudi Arabia. Further, the activities included a mural through which citizens express their feelings on the National Day. This in addition to displaying the Saudi flag from inside the airport's aquarium, which is the largest aquarium airports in the world.
Furthermore, there was a performance of the Saudi Ardha. It was performed in the airport executive office with the participation of airport employees.
Meanwhile, King Fahd International Airport in Dammam too celebrated with fervor with all government sectors and companies operating at the airport participating. The terminals and airport entrances were filled with national flags, green lights and various congratulatory phrases displayed on board for the occasion.
Moreover, a huge screen displayed the Saudi flag at the terminal, travelers were also greeted with national souvenirs. The airport terminals were further decorated with illuminated screens in the form of the No. 90 and interactive screens, playing patriotic songs.
The external area was also decorated, such as (lighting the control tower) in green. This in addition to the participation of a volunteer team in organizing the event.
In Madinah, Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz International Airport celebrated the National Day by receiving travelers arriving on domestic flights from various regions of the Kingdom and presenting them with gifts for this occasion. The authorities operating at the airport also participated in organizing the event that was held in the domestic flights arrival terminal, amid feelings of joy, which embody the depth of loyalty and belonging to this blessed country.
While the Kingdom's other airports too celebrated the occasion with the airports entrances filled with national flags, balloons, green lights and various congratulatory phrases for the occasion. Moreover, airport employees were wore special shawls to highlight this national occasion.
This in addition to the many events in the terminals, which witnessed activities that found a great travelers turnout and an interaction that embodies the feelings of patriotism and belonging to commemorate this event, that is dear to the hearts of all citizens — SPA
