RIYADH — New coronavirus cases in the Kingdom continued their declining trend on Sunday, the ministry of health said. Saudi Arabia's ministry of health reported 1,109 new corona cases during the past 24 hours, a further decrease from Saturday's 1,184 infections, marking a new four-month low in daily recorded cases. There were 1,213 new coronavirus cases on Friday. New cases outpaced by recoveries, of which 1,702 were recorded, health ministry spokesman Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdel Ali was quoted by Saudi Press Agency (SPA) as saying. The total number of cases stand at 307,479 to date, 280,143 recoveries and 3,649 deaths, according to government figures. Makkah continued to be the city with the largest new (65) recorded cases since Saturday. There were 61 cases in Madinah, 57 in Jazan, 52 in Jeddah, 40 each in Riyadh and Hail, 38 in Qunfudah, 35 each in Beish and Tabuk, 30 each in Yanbu and Samtah, 29 in Al-Gouz, 27 each in Makhwah and Abu Arish, 23 in Abha, and 21 each in Balisamah and Bashayer. The rest of the cases were scattered in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom, the spokesman said.
