Foreign Ministers of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan underlined the longstanding, historical and solid fraternal relations between the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman. The UAE's top diplomat made the statements in a phone call with Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi, the Omani newly appointed foreign minister, whom Sheikh Abdullah congratulated on the confidence placed in him by the Sultan of Oman, wishing him full success in his new position. Sheikh Abdullah expressed solid belief in Al-Busaidi's ability to carry out his duties in the best possible manner thanks to his distinguished diplomatic experience and impressive relationship-building skills at the Gulf, Arab and international levels. He said that he is looking forward to increased cooperation with the Omani minister to further cement the brotherly relations between the two nations. "The historical relations between the two countries will continue to steadily and profoundly grow thanks to the determination of their leadership to ensure their bonds continue to be an example of solidarity and togetherness between fraternal nations," said Sheikh Abdullah. The two ministers discussed, over the phone call, the prospects of advancing cooperation across all fronts, and exchanged views on a number of international issues and the latest regional developments. — WAM
