Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak has tested positive for the coronavirus, Interfax cited Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin as saying Tuesday. Novak will join Wednesday's Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) meeting via video link, the energy ministry later said. The ministry noted that Novak is feeling well and currently has no symptoms of COVID-19. OPEC+ producers are set to review adherence to their production pact on oil output cuts at Wednesday's meeting against the backdrop of a slow recovery in demand. Compliance with OPEC+ oil output cuts was 95-97 percent in July, according to OPEC+ sources. Novak is in Russia's far east as part of a government delegation headed by Prime Minister Mishustin, who had contracted the novel coronavirus in late April.
