RIYADH — Acting Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs Majed Al-Huqail launched three new electronic services through the ministry's "Balady" portal to provide services for a number of commercial activities. These include the service for issuing vehicle parking permit, seasonal site permit, and permit to hold an event, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The ministry said that these new services are part of the ministry's plans and programs aimed at facilitating access to municipal services electronically within the Municipal Transformation Program that emanates from the Kingdom's Vision 2030. The parking permit service allows owners of licensed companies and establishments to secure parking space for their vehicles on their premises. The seasonal site permit service will help a firm involved in seasonal commercial activities obtain a license to practice commercial activity for individuals and establishments in a temporary location during tourist, religious, and other seasons. The event permit service allows commercial firms to hold events at a designated location in a specific period of time. The request in this regard shall be sent electronically to the concerned department of the municipality for approval. The ministry emphasized that these services come within a digital scheduling of municipal services, aimed at automating all municipal services in a way realizing satisfaction of the beneficiaries. The ministry said that more details about these services can be had from the portal on the following link: https://balady.gov.sa.
